As a Senior Leader since 2020, Alexandra has led change, developed and grown a breadth of provision. She has had oversight and responsibility for all strategic and operational activities within the Colleges at which she has worked.
Alexandra says: “I have a passion for developing people and raising aspirations, be that in terms of staff or students. EKC Sheppey College has really exciting times ahead over the next two to five years, which we have laid the foundations for over the last couple.
“Our brand new building housing Engineering, Logistics and Digital Design, Production and Development is a real investment in our community and will provide routes into employment locally and regionally for our students that were not previously available to them.
“The development of our Junior College for 14-16 students is brand new and having completed the admissions process, will begin in September 2025. This gives younger students who are really passionate about Engineering or Digital Skills, the opportunity to fast track their route to employment in that sector, or Higher Education from Year 10 onwards, with progression routes to Level 3 programmes or apprenticeships across our colleges possible when they have completed their two years with us.
“The progress we have made in turning these developments into reality over the last couple of years is game changing for the communities we serve in terms of educational opportunities for all levels and age groups. When our new building opens later this year we will also be able to offer additional short courses for adults in the evenings too.”
In her spare time, Alexandra is an avid swimmer and volunteers for the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
